Contact Management
Manage your customers, suppliers, and business contacts.
Contact Management
Contacts are the foundation of your Gloyd workspace. Every quote, order, and RFQ is linked to a contact.
Contact Types
| Type | Description | Capabilities |
|---|---|---|
| Customer | Buys from you | Receives quotes, places orders |
| Supplier | You buy from them | Receives RFQs, sends quotes |
| Partner | Both directions | Full bi-directional trading |
| Distributor | Distribution channel | Bulk ordering, special pricing |
| Manufacturer | Product manufacturer | Source tracking |
Creating a Contact
- Navigate to Contacts
- Click New Contact
- Fill in the required fields:
- Company name
- Contact type
- Primary email
- Phone number (optional)
- Address (optional)
Contact People
Each contact (company) can have multiple contact people:
- Name and title
- Email and phone
- Role within the company
- Portal access settings
Portal Access
Grant your contacts access to their dedicated portal:
- Go to the contact's detail page
- Click Portal Access
- Send an invitation to the contact person
- They'll receive an email to set up their password
Importing Contacts
Bulk import contacts from CSV/Excel:
- Go to Contacts → Import
- Download the template
- Fill in your data
- Upload and map fields
- Review and confirm
Tags and Custom Fields
Organize contacts with:
- Tags: Flexible labels for categorization
- Custom fields: Additional data fields specific to your business
